All Italian cheese burger.
Ingredients - serves 4
4 beef burgers with onion
1 mozzarella cheese, cut into 4 round slices
1 beef tomato, cut into 8 slices - (cut 4 of these slices into small dice)
olive oil
balsamic vinegar
salt, pepper
basil tips
A big bag of crisps!
Method
Cook the burgers as you normally would - I brush with oil and fry them but you may prefer to grill them.
Whilst they are cooking sit the 4 sliced of beef tomato on foil, season with salt and pepper, top each with a slice of mozzarella and place under a hot grill until melted. Lift the tomato slices carefully with a fish slice or spatula off the foil and onto the awaiting burgers. Top each with the diced tomato, season again and drizzle with olive oil and a few drops of balsamic vinegar.
Serve with the basil tips to dress them up and a handful of quality home-made crisps - or Burt’s (being the next best thing). |
