When autumn fruits are about in abundance just a few minutes of preparation can make a glorious baked pudding.
Ingredients - serves 4
6 pieces of fruit (pear, apple, nectarine, peach, plums, apricot, a few grapes - whatever your favourites are), stoned, cored, sliced where appropriate
50g of blanched almonds
2 cinnamon sticks
the grated peel and juice of 1 orange
2 tbsp light brown sugar
Method
Heat the oven to 180°C
Mix everything and spread on a baking tray, sprinkle with the brown sugar and a grating of nutmeg, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove cinnamon sticks and serve hot or cold, with or without cream.
